The European Association For International
Education (EAIE) is the leading membership organization in Europe serving
the broad field of international education. EAIE is a non-governmental,
non-profitmaking Professional Association with a Secretariat
and permanent staff in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from which it coordinates
a wide range of activity on behalf of its membership of over 1500 educators
and 30 Courtesy Associates
in 65 countries. Membership
is open to all individuals with an interest in advancing the cause of international
education in Europe, and beyond.
Member activities operate primarily through Professional Sections and Special Interest Groups, which provide training, lobbying, information dissemination, and the sponsorship of sessions and workshops at EAIE's Annual Membership Conference, the major annual international education event in Europe. EAIE offers Professional Training Courses and publishes a Newsletter, an annual Membership Directory, and other Publications for the membership and general public. The Secretariat also circulates News Updates in European international education, in print and via EAIE-L, the e-mail forum operated by ENIS. EAIE's history and mission
is one of service to European higher education mobility. EAIE works closely
with the full range of European higher education institutions, consortia,
projects, and European Community
action programmes in education. |
