Instructions for using the EAIE Website Search Tool

1. Choose the search operators you prefer from the boxes above.
   • The 'Match' box has a choice of 'All' or 'Any'; the 'Format' box has a choice of 'Long' or 'Short'
   • We suggest you start with the default of 'All' and 'Long'
2. Enter the word or words you wish to search for in the 'Search' box.
   • Use only the words you wish to search for (e.g. SOCRATES, or conference workshops).
   • No punctuation is necessary between the words.
   • At this point, do not use boolean operators such as and or or.
3. Click on the 'Search' button to the right of the 'Search box'
4. If this initial search does not produce acceptable results, you will be prompted with a new "refine search" box.
   For "refined searches" a third choice of "Boolean" will be available in addition to "All" and "Any".
   • At this point you may choose the Boolean operators and or or to refine your search
5. Links of pages in the EAIE website which contain the terms you requested will then appear in one or several screens, along with a brief context in which the term(s) appeared.
   • Click on the link(s) you wish to examine further and you will go directly to the full document
6. The search-index database for the EAIE website is updated daily at 0300 Amsterdam time.
